At Amador Whiskey company, we partner with the finest craft distillers to create limited-edition, luxury whiskies. Our 9th release was crafted by master distiller, marko karakasevic, at charbay distillery in Ukiah, California. It is a unique blend of 90% malted 2-row barley whiskey and 10% hop-based whiskey distilled from a craft california ipa beer. Then it is aged for 2.5 years in french oak and finished for 6 months in former napa chardonnay wine barrels. Enjoy this limited 10 barrel release of California whiskey brimming with complex brown spice, vanilla, dried fruit, and hop flavors.
Tasting Notes:Opening the bottle, the whiskey shows a nice integration of french oak. The color is a classic heavy toast brown. since the barrels used were not charred, a lot more flavors of the whiskey are available: honey, dried fruit, smokey, vanilla from the barrel, roasted barley, and spices. The hops have meshed with the brown spices, making this a very spicy whiskey. The finish is long and coating.
